Meet Theresa
Expertise rooted in real‑world parenting
I’m a parent of two grown children, and raising a child with ADHD changed much of what I thought I knew about behavior, motivation, and parenting. I know the confusion of wondering why mornings were so hard, why homework felt impossible, or why familiar parenting strategies didn’t seem to work. Over time, I came to understand that behavior often tells us something important, and that expectations and support are more effective when they reflect how a child’s brain actually works.
That experience led me to study ADHD more deeply: how it affects executive function, emotions, motivation, communication, school, relationships, and daily life. I’ve learned to recognize what may be happening beneath the behavior, while also understanding that not every behavior or challenge is rooted in ADHD. Understanding what ADHD may—and may not—be contributing to helps parents respond more thoughtfully and effectively.
Professionally, I hold a master’s degree in health administration and have spent my career in executive leadership, program development, adult education, and public speaking. I’m also a credentialed ADHD parent educator and coach and have served in school-based leadership roles, including as a PTSA president and board member.
I bring both lived experience and professional expertise to my work. I listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and recognize that ADHD looks different in every child. What works beautifully for one family may not work at all for another.
That’s why I begin with Parent Foundations, helping you understand ADHD, recognize patterns, and better understand what may be happening beneath your child’s behavior. From there, Applied Parent Coaching turns that understanding into practical strategies tailored to your child, your family, and your goals.
